National Football Museum
The National Football Museum was in Preston but currently is on the move to the Urbis museum in Manchester's City Centre. It has all kinds of fascinating exhibits, including the ball from the 1966 World Cup Final, Maradona's shirt from the "hand of God" game, the oldest FA Cup trophy and the shirt from the world's first international.

The Cavern Club, Liverpool
This famous Liverpool club is small but of very significant historic importance, it's where a band known as The Beatles first performed and were discovered. To get the full story you can also visit the award-winning Beatles Story experience with it's atmospheric journey into the life, times, culture and music of the Beatles.

Blackpool Tower
The world famous Blackpool Tower offers a huge entertainment complex that will keep kids amused for hours with its aquarium, 3D dinasour exhibition and an adventure playground for kids called Jungle Gym. At the top of the tower itself there's a glass floor to walk across if you dare and the Tower ballroom with its amazing murals, chandeliers, and of course the dancers themselves might just inspire you have a go yourself!

Old Trafford
Home to the most famous football club in the world, the Old Trafford museum and stadium tour is no let down. You can almost feel magic as you wander by the magnificent trophies, historic shirts and excellent exhibits then of course out into the stadium itself.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach
The Pleasure Beach, the most visited amusement park in Britain, is a 16 hectare collection of more than 145 rides. As well as having one of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in Europe ‘The Pepsi Max Big One’, the Pleasure Beach is one of the few parks left in the world to operate a traditional wooden roller coaster. If it starts to rain there are over 6 major arcades located indoors including high-tech simulation, state-of-the-art video games and virtual reality systems. You'll also find a themed bowling alley called Blowladrome, and the ghostly walk-through attraction of Horror Crypt. It's a tough one to pull the kids away from!

Gormley Statues
The Gormley Statues on Crosby Beach are a stunning piece of modern art called Another Place by Antony Gormley. Over 100 cast iron statues face out to see over a 2 mile stretch and appear and disappear with the tide. It's a spooky spectacle but well worth the trip over.
