Throughout the UK, the vast majority of properties, gardens and areas with any historic or natural value are protected and either owned or run by 1 of 4 charities. The National Trust run many of our stately homes and gardens. Many properties and ruins (including castles, forts, walls, monasteries, monuments and stone circles) are run by English Heritage in England, Historic Scotland in Scotland and Cadw in Wales.
Depending on the places you plan to visit during your time in Great Britain, it is likely to be worth spending the extra money on special overseas visitor passes. Which pass depends on where you plan to visit! We have a small guide below and can include these passes as part of your Great British Trip package so you don't need to think about it again. The passes will gain you free entry into attractions and normally pay for themselves with 2-3 visits. We guarantee that buying the passes from us will cost you no more money than buying them direct (in fact it may well cost less!) and it simply means it saves you the hassle!
English Heritage
As part of your Great British Trips package we are able to offer overseas visitors a special pass which will gain you free entry for the duration of your stay to over 400 castles, ruins, stately homes and much much more. The National Trust
The National Trust have over 350 properties, stately homes and castles throughout the UK and now offer a 7 or 14 day touring pass to overseas visitors. This pass is only available from selected agents and must be purchased before your visit to the UK. National Trust properties include Lyme Park, Tintagel Castle, Bodiam Castle, Lindisfarne Castle and it enables lots of free parking at free to visit National Trust properties.

Cadw (Wales)
Cadw is the historic environment service of the Welsh Assembly Government. 'Cadw' (pronounced cad-oo) is a Welsh word meaning 'to keep'. Cadw look after the majority of significant historic sites in Wales including historic buildings, ancient monuments, historic parks, gardens and landscapes, and underwater archaeology. All of the castles found on Wales 'Castles' page are Cadw run as well as Castell Coch, Caerphilly Castle and St David's Bishops Palace. It's a must for any history lover visiting Wales.

Historic Scotland
The Historic Scotland Explorer pass represents excellent value for money if you're visiting Scotland. Historic Scotland look after over 300 properties throughout Scotland and these include Edinburgh Castle, Stirling Castle and Urquhart Castle. It's flexible passes means that a 7 day pass can be used over 14 days (7 of the 14 days!).

London Historic Royal Palaces Pass
London is packed with Historic Royal Palaces and this pass will allow you to enjoy them all at your leisure. The Palaces include the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, Banqueting House, Kensington Palace and Kew Palace. Your pass is valid for 2 years so even if you don't make it to all of them on this trip there's always next year!
