Itinerary ideas - Seeking Solitude

There are loads of gorgeous natural places to visit in Britain but here we've put together a 3 week itinerary suggestion for nature lovers who are seeking a bit of solitude and natural beauty to provide a great balance and antidote for a busy city lifestyle. This 3 week itinerary is just the thing.

SnowdoniaDay 1 - 4 Manchester - Snowdonia
Arrive on day 1 in Manchester's international airport and head straight over to north wales and the Snowdonia region. The region is beautiful and has plenty of walks to take, mountains to climb, steam railways to ride through the mountains on and great castles to explore.
LakesDay 5 - 8 Lake District
The English lake district provides that perfect antitdote to a hectic modern lifestyle. Life moves more slowly here as you wander around breathtaking lakes surrounded by mountains. The towns here are friendly, made of stone and quintessentially British. A boat ride across lake Windemere is a must.
Loch LomondDay 9 -10 Loch Lomond
It's time to head up to the Scottish Highlands now for more lakes and mountains. Loch Lomond is a brilliant example of just how beautiful Scotland can be. A hotel by the lake is just the ticket as you contemplate life in this little piece of heaven.
SkyeDay 11 - 14 Isle of Mull and Isle of Skye
It doesn't come much more rugged and wild than the Scottish Islands. A couple of days here will feel like a million miles from the stress of daily life and the spectacular views are simply second to none.
Glen CoeDay 15 - 16 Fort William
After the Islands why not head to the Highlands for more spectacular scenery, Britain's highest mountain and what is widely regarded as one of the best views in Scotland, Glen Coe. If you're the adventurous type you may want to have a go at Ben Nevis but to appreciate true beauty, pack a lunch and admire Glen Coe.
Loch NessDay 17 - 18 Inverness
Back to a touch of civilisation in the town of Inverness but don't worry, it won't last long as you're here to appreciate the beauty and search for that legendary creature, the Loch Ness monster. Will you be the first to get a clear genuine photo? Let's hope so!
NorthumberlandDay 19 - 21 Northumberland - Manchester
We're back down into England as we near the end of our nature holiday. Northumberland combines stunning landscape with history as you explore the castle and nearby ancient monastic settlements. After your final stint in Northumberland, it's back to Manchester for the journey home.
