YOUR TRAVEL GUIDE

London
In London, Harry Potter magic is around every corner. Start at Platform 9¾ at King’s Cross, where you can snap the iconic photo of the trolley “vanishing” into the wall, then set off to explore the capital’s legendary filming spots, from Leadenhall Market (home to the Leaky Cauldron) to the Millennium Bridge, famously targeted in the Death Eaters’ attack.
Harry Potter capital of magic
Just a short journey away, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour offers an unforgettable behind-the-scenes immersion: original costumes, life-size sets, flying broomsticks, and (of course) a taste of Butterbeer. A truly special family adventure that lets you follow in your favourite wizards’ footsteps while soaking up the buzz of Britain’s capital.

Oxford
A university with a Hogwarts feel!
Oxford is an unmissable stop for any Harry Potter fan. Its magnificent colleges (vaulted halls, grand staircases, centuries-old stonework) helped shape the look and atmosphere of Hogwarts.
The dining hall of Christ Church College inspired the Great Hall, while its staircases appear as Harry and his classmates arrive at school. The Bodleian Library, with its spectacular Divinity School, also features in several scenes, from the hospital wing to spell lessons.

The Peak District
Wild landscapes worthy of the big screen.
If Hogwarts and its surroundings made you dream, the Peak District will instantly bring you back into that mood. Rolling green hills, misty valleys and dramatic cliffs create a striking cinematic backdrop.
In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, these are the kinds of mysterious, remote landscapes through which Harry, Hermione and Ron flee as they go on the run across Britain.

York
Discover the charming medieval city of York, in northern England, a place that feels as though it has stepped straight out of J.K. Rowling’s magical world.
Wander through The Shambles, one of the best-preserved medieval streets in England and often cited as an inspiration for Diagon Alley. With its timber-framed houses, narrow shopfronts and enchanting atmosphere, it’s the perfect place to relive Harry’s adventures. You’ll also find plenty of Harry Potter-themed shops here: wands, cloaks, accessories and magical sweets included.
But York isn’t only about Harry Potter: the city also captivates with majestic York Minster, its walkable city walls, and a uniquely historic atmosphere.

Northumberland
In the footsteps of the young wizard
In the far north of England, Northumberland is home to one of the saga’s most iconic filming locations: Alnwick Castle. It’s here that Harry takes his very first broomstick flying lesson in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, an unforgettable scene where the magic truly takes flight. With its imposing ramparts and sweeping grounds, Alnwick instantly immerses you in a Hogwarts-like atmosphere.
Yet Northumberland is much more than its famous castle: it’s also a land of spectacular scenery, from rolling hills and wild beaches to history-filled villages, perfect for combining magical immersion with an authentic family discovery of England.
Edinburgh
In Edinburgh, every street seems to whisper a spell: the city is so deeply intertwined with the world of Harry Potter. It was here, in cafés in the historic centre, that J.K. Rowling imagined much of the story that would become a global phenomenon. The Elephant House, often described as “the birthplace of Harry Potter”, is an iconic spot where the author used to write; currently under renovation, its façade can still be admired.
As you stroll through the city, you’ll find echoes of the wizarding world everywhere: the mysterious Victoria Street, with its colourful fronts and quirky shops, is also said to have inspired Diagon Alley. Nearby, Greyfriars Kirkyard reveals names carved in stone that may ring bells for fans, such as Thomas Riddell.
Towering above the city, Edinburgh Castle often evokes Hogwarts for visitors, with its dramatic silhouette, gothic towers and misty atmosphere straight out of a tale. Even George Heriot’s School, a private school with four houses and striking architecture, feels reminiscent of the world of young witches and wizards.
